The Durham Catholic District School Board has partnered with Voila Learning to provide online homework help in French to all Durham Catholic students. As part of our commitment to excellence, the Board surveyed all parents who have their children in a French as a Second Language program in June.
“The feedback received from parents was that their children need French homework support,” said Ana Smith, French as a Second Language Consultant for the Durham Catholic District School Board.
Beginning Monday, October 5, Durham Catholic elementary and secondary students studying core French, extended French and French Immersion can access a French teacher online every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Students can get access to the online French homework help by logging into the Board’s new learning portal, called LaunchPad available on every school website or on the homepage of dcdsb.ca
“Our goal is to inspire French language learning in every child,” added Smith. “By offering resources such as Voila Learning’s Online French Homework help we are bridging the gaps in learning and building a love for other languages.”
